He pointed out that China had become the world second large service outsourcing country behind India and the world occupation was rising quickly. “The world faces severe challenges, and closer cooperation between nations is needed more than ever,” Mr. Chen said, “This forum is a great place to share observations regarding how to explore China’s hi-tech markets, and how to carry out industrial cooperation between Silicon Valley and Xi’an.”

Mr. Li Zhijun, Deputy Director General of the Bureau of Commerce in Xi’an, listed 3 points to prove strong competitiveness about Xi’an including its advantages and opportunities for developing software and service outsourcing. “The service outsourcing we are running is one of the emerging industries since the adjustment of world industrial structure,” he said. Mr. Li also highlighted full support from Xi’an government on investment in software and service outsourcing industry to make the business climate more attractive to international companies. “We are continually improving investment environment and service functions, and we expect more interactions and communications with US enterprises to promote the fast development of outsourcing industry and share the result of city development with Xi’an people.” Mr. Li concluded.

Larry Lei, The Deputy Director of Xi’an Soft Park also introduced the the infrastructure. Several Xi’an Software companies including Bachieve, Huamei, Huatek, also presented their capabilities during the event.
